[eng] While it is undeniable that the main vector for human knowledge has been writen language, it is also evident that this can be extended with another kind of communicatve forms. Here we will try to review the illustraton, which is an important scientic and didactc tool from modernity, through the analysis of some fundamental notons that have their origin in the Theory of Mind and the Theory of the Image, as well as a brief historical outline from the Renaissance to the past century.
