[spa] Los países que integran a la Comunidad Europea han venido presentando serios problemas financieros producto de políticas desacertadas en el manejo de sus recursos, repercutiendo en el equilibrio social de los Estados miembros, aun cuando se mantiene en práctica el Pacto de Estabilidad y Crecimiento (PEC), el cual no ha generado los resultados que se esperaban desde su implementación en junio de 1997. A esta situación no se escapa España, razón por la cual esta investigación persigue realizar un análisis del impacto económico – social generado por la implementación del PEC. Como objetivos específicos se plantearon desarrollar las teorías relacionadas con el Pacto de Estabilidad y Crecimiento, conocer las medidas económicas implementadas por el Gobierno español para garantizar la estabilidad social y establecer la incidencia económico – social que el PEC ha provocado en el país. Este estudio se caracterizó por ser una investigación documental, colaborado con los métodos: analítico, deductivo y hermenéutico filológico, apoyado con la aplicación de técnicas como la revisión documental, análisis de contenidos y resumen, en sus diferentes modalidades, crítico, analítico y simple. El instrumento utilizado para tomar los datos requeridos fue la ficha, empleándose la ficha textual, resumen y mixta.

[eng] The countries that make up the European Community have been presenting serious financial problems as a result of misguided policies in the management of their resources, having an impact on the social balance of the Member States, even when the Stability and Growth Pact (PEC) is kept in practice, which has not generated the expected results since its implementation in June 1997. This situation does not escape Spain, which is why this research seeks to perform an analysis of the economic - social impact generated by the implementation of the PEC. The specific objectives were to develop the theories related to the Stability and Growth Pact, learn about the economic measures implemented by the Spanish Government to guarantee social stability and establish the economic - social impact that the PEC has caused to the country. This study was characterized as a documentary investigation, collaborated with the methods: analytical, deductive and philological hermeneutics, supported by the application of techniques such as document review, content analysis and summary, in its different modalities, critical, analytical and simple. The instrument used to take the required data was the record, using the textual, summary and mixed record.
