dc.description.abstract [eng] This study investigates UIB English Studies’ undergraduate students’ attitude towards the usage and integration of social media within their English language lessons. By examining this, the study points out the benefits integration of social networks could bring into the students’ learning process. To get to know their thoughts, an online survey was conveyed inquiring students about their individual usage of social media, their experiences with social networks in previous degree courses, and their position concerning the implementation of such platforms in higher education. The survey focuses on thirty-six students from second, third and fourth year. Preliminary results suggest that the vast majority of students are for the integration Social Media Technologies (SMTs) in their English lessons, although this survey illustrates discrepancies among student’s beliefs towards this modern implementation. Therefore, taking into account the responses provided by students, this MA dissertation offers a didactic proposal to encourage the integration of social media into English Language courses. ca
