Actitudes hacia la muerte de las personas mayores y los profesionales de la salud tras la COVID-19.

Abstract

[spa] El presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal investigar las actitudes hacia la muerte de dos muestras de la población: las personas mayores y los profesionales de la salud, con motivo de la aparición de la nueva enfermedad COVID-19 que se ha convertido en Pandemia. Esta nueva enfermedad ha ocasionado miles de muertes en España desde enero del 2020, por lo que se estima que los colectivos más afectados por el virus manifiesten actitudes negativas hacia la muerte. Para saberlo, en primer lugar, se ha desarrollado la introducción en la cual se plasman las características de la población de las personas mayores y de los profesionales de la salud, junto a una conceptualización de la muerte, el duelo y las actitudes que se manifiestan en nuestra sociedad hacia la muerte. Para responder a la pregunta de investigación se ha recurrido a la creación de dos encuestas en las cuales se han unificado los instrumentos de PRAM-R, ProQOL-IV y EBAM. Posteriormente se han extraído los resultados y se han interpretado en el apartado de conclusiones.

[eng] The main objective of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards death of two samples of the population: the elderly and health professionals, on the occasion of the appearance of the new disease called COVID-19 that has become a pandemic. This new disease has caused thousands of deaths in Spain since January 2020, so it is estimated that the groups most affected by the virus show negative attitudes towards death. To find this out, first of all, an introduction has been developed in which the characteristics of the elderly population and health professionals are described, together with a conceptualization of death, bereavement and attitudes towards death in our society. In order to answer the research question, we have resorted to the creation of two surveys in which the PRAM-R, ProQOL-IV and EBAM instruments have been unified. Finally, the results have been extracted and interpreted in the conclusions section.
