Ciudades y destinos inteligentes como sistemas de gestión más eficientes y sostenibles

Abstract

[esp] El continuo desarrollo de las tecnologías está transformando las ciudades y está dando lugar a nuevas necesidades no solo para sus habitantes, sino también para aquellos que la visitan. Por eso surgen las ciudades y los destinos inteligentes, para ofrecer una gestión más eficiente que dé respuesta a las necesidades de los ciudadanos y de los nuevos turistas. Primero, se definirán los conceptos de Smart City (Ciudad Inteligente) y Destino Turístico Inteligente (DTI); en segundo lugar, sus dimensiones y ejes de actuación; en tercer lugar, las diferencias entre ambos conceptos; y finalmente, los beneficios o ventajas que aportan tanto a los ciudadanos, como a los turistas y al medio ambiente. Por último, se expondrá el caso de Palma de Mallorca como Destino Turístico Inteligente ejemplar.

[eng] The continuous development of technologies is transforming cities and is giving rise to new needs not only for its inhabitants, but also for its tourists. That is why smart cities and destinations have emerged, to offer a more efficient management that responds to the needs of citizens and new tourists. First, the concepts of Smart City and Smart Destination will be defined; second, its dimensions and lines of action; third, the differences between the two concepts; and finally, the benefits or advantages that they provide to citizens, tourists and the environment. Finally, the case of Palma de Mallorca will be presented as an exemplary Smart Destination.
