Las Funciones Ejecutivas en las Altas Capacidades Intelectuales

Abstract

[spa] Desde hace ya unos años se investiga si las Funciones Ejecutivas (Inhibición, Memoria de Trabajo y Flexiblidad Cognitiva) tienen algún papel en la Inteligencia y las Altas Capacidades intelectuales, es decir, si dichos constructos están relacionados. En este trabajo se recogen 25 estudios sobre dicha correlación, con el objetivo de esclarecer de qué forma interactúan dichos procesos cognitivos, con el fin de poder usar esto para una mayor comprensión del constructo de Altas Capacidades Intelectuales y como elemento a tener en cuenta para futuras intervenciones educativas.

[eng] In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in finding out whether there is a relationship between Executive Functions (Inhibition, Working Memory and Flexibility) and Intelligence and Gifted Children, in other words, if this constructs are correlated. This theoretical revision contains 25 studies about their correlation in order to illustrate how this cognitive processes interact and how High Intellectual Capacities function, with the purpose to use it for future educational interventions.
