La enseñanza del inglés coloquial en el aula

[spa] Este trabajo de fin de máster tiene como objetivo poner en valor la utilidad de la enseñanza del lenguaje coloquial del inglés. Para ello, primeramente, se tratarán ciertos aspectos de la lengua estándar, dado que es la que se enseña actualmente, y se discutirá sobre la polémica de elegir una variedad de estándar. Posteriormente, se observará la historia que precede al inglés estándar y la Received Pronunciation en Reino Unido y se describirá el inglés coloquial con sus principales características y ejemplos de estas. Por último, se observarán los resultados extraídos de un cuestionario realizado a un grupo de 4º de ESO de la isla de Ibiza y se desarrollará una propuesta didáctica.

[eng] This end of master paper aims to emphasise the usefulness of teaching colloquial English. To do so, firstly, some standard language aspects will be dealt with since it is the one taught nowadays. Furthermore, it will be discussed the polemic of choosing a variety of standard language. Then, we will go through the history of Standard English and Received Pronunciation in the United Kingdom and, finally, Colloquial English will be described within its main characteristics and examples. To sum it up, we will analyse the results from a questionnaire carried out among a group of 4th ESO students in a high school in Ibiza and a didactical proposal will be developed.
