Baleares en los inicios del turismo de masas (1955-1975)

[spa] Durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX la mayoría de los países industrializados vivieron un considerable cambio en el peso de los sectores en sus economías. El denominador común de este cambio es una disminución de la importancia en el sector agrícola e industrial, mientras que el sector servicios se ve mayoritariamente favorecido. Esta tendencia se ha observado en gran parte en las Islas Baleares, concretamente, dentro del sector servicios, el turismo ha sido y es el motor de la actual riqueza de las Islas Baleares. Por eso, este trabajo se centra en la evolución del primer gran boom del turismo en las Islas Baleares, determinando los puntos fuertes y débiles que han influido en el desarrollo de la segunda mitad del s. XX en el archipiélago balear.

[eng] During the second half of the 20th century, most industrialized countries experienced a considerable change in the weight of the sectors in their economies. The common denominator of this change is a decrease in importance in the agricultural and industrial sector, while the service sector is mostly favoured. This trend has been observed to a large extent in the Balearic Islands, specifically, within the services sector, tourism has been and is the engine of the current wealth of the Balearic Islands. For this reason, this work focuses on the evolution of the first great tourism boom in the Balearic Islands, determining the strengths and weaknesses that have influenced the development of the second half of the 20th century in the Balearic archipelago
