dc.description.abstract [eng] The arrival of COVID-19 in Spain has caused a before and after in society and the economy. The virus has caused the sharpest drop in many economic indicators such as GDP or the progressive increase in the unemployment rate. Some Autonomous Communities have been more affected due to the economic monoculture strongly dependent on tourism, as is the case of the Balearic Islands. Throughout this work we will analyse the pre-pandemic and postpandemic times and we will also analyse the different macroeconomic indicators as well as their possible evolution. Finally, we will emphasize the next evolution that the Balearic Islands must carry out for its future recovery. ca
