Inclusive tourism: Spain as an accessible tourism destination

[eng] Tourism is a key sector for the economy of a country like Spain. Thus, this work will focus on one of its market segments: people with disabilities. People with disabilities must be able to access an accessible tourism service that meets their needs and allows them to enjoy themselves autonomously and safely. That is why this work aims to investigate what those needs are. Starting from an analysis of the different types of barriers and how they affect people with disabilities when they want to practice tourism, the work will delve into analyzing the state of barriers in the Spanish territory. The current state of the barriers will be described, how the government works or not to eliminate them, which public and private organizations also contribute to it, etc. In addition, a preliminary investigation will be carried out on the specific needs of travelers with disabilities through interviews with people who suffer from them. The interviews will also seek to know the personal opinion of the current state of the barriers in Spain and on how the government is addressing them.

[spa] El turismo es un sector clave para la economía de un país como España. Siendo así, este trabajo se enfocará en uno de sus segmentos de mercado: las personas con discapacidades. Las personas con discapacidades deben poder acceder a un servicio turístico accesible que satisfaga sus necesidades y les permita disfrutar de forma autónoma y segura. Es por ello, que este trabajo tiene como objetivo indagar cuáles son esas necesidades. A partir de un análisis de los diferentes tipos de barreras y cómo estas afectan a las personas con discapacidad cuando quieren practicar turismo, el trabajo profundizará en el análisis del estado de las barreras en el territorio español. Se describirá el estado actual de las barreras, cómo trabaja o no el gobierno para eliminarlas, qué organismos públicos y privados contribuyen a ello, etc. Además, se llevará a cabo una investigación preliminar sobre las necesidades específicas de los viajeros con discapacidad a través de entrevistas a personas que las padecen. Las entrevistas también buscarán conocer la opinión personal sobre el estado actual de las barreras en España y sobre cómo el gobierno las está abordando.
