El impacto del deporte federado en las Islas Baleares

Abstract

[spa] El deporte es actualmente una actividad que se ha extendido más allá del entretenimiento convirtiéndose en un sector de gran importancia tanto en lo social como en lo económico. En particular, el deporte federado ha tenido un gran crecimiento en los últimos años donde su práctica va siendo de cada vez más habitual. Todo ello, genera un impacto importante en la economía de un territorio ya que este aumento de la práctica deportiva hace que otros sectores se vean beneficiados debido a la compra de material deportivo, la necesidad de bienes y servicios complementarios o la inversión en infraestructuras. En este trabajo se pretende explicar la importancia del deporte desde una perspectiva económica mediante la literatura ya existente para después analizar de una manera cuantitativa su impacto en la economía balear a través del cálculo de matrices obtenidas a partir de las Tablas Input-Output. Para completar este estudio, también se observará el gasto realizado por las Administraciones Públicas, los hogares, su relevación en el mundo empresarial y se finalizará con un estudio de los ingresos y los costes de las federaciones de las Islas Baleares.

[eng] Sport is nowadays an activity that has extended beyond entertainment and has become a sector of great importance both socially and economically. In particular, federated sport has had a great growth in recent years where its practice has become more and more common. All of this generates an important impact on the economy of a territory, as this increase in federated sport makes other sectors benefit due to the purchase of sports equipment, the need for complementary goods and services or investment in infrastructures. The aim of this project is to explain the importance of sport from an economic perspective by means of the existing literature and then to analyse in a quantitative way its impact on the Balearic economy through the calculation of matrices obtained from the Input-Output Tables. To complete this research, we will also look at the expenditure made by Public Administrations, households, its relevance in the business world and we will end with an investigation of the income and costs of the federations of the Balearic Islands.
