Regulació emocional, joc d'apostes i diferències entre homes i dones

Abstract

[cat] Aquest estudi té com a objectiu comparar la diferència en dificultats de regulació emocional, a partir de l'escala DERS, entre estudiants de la Universitat de les Illes Balears que han participat en jocs d'apostes els darrers 12 mesos i els que no. A més, analitzar si aquesta diferència es dóna de forma diferent entre homes i dones. Els resultats indiquen que a població universitària no clínica, les dificultats en regulació emocional no representen un factor de risc per implicar-se en jocs d'apostes. L'estudi permet detectar la necessitat de profunditzar en aquesta àrea fent-ho amb població clínica però amb edats compreses entre 18 i 26 anys.

[eng] The aim of this study is to compare the difference in emotional regulation difficulties, based on the DERS scale, between students from the University of the Balearic Islands who have taken part in gambling over the last 12 months and those who have not. Also, analyze whether this difference is different between men and women. The results indicate that in a non-clinical college population, difficulties in emotional regulation do no represent a risk factor for engaging in gambling. The study allows us to detect the need to delve into this area by doing it with a clinical population aged between 18 and 26 years
