La descripció del paisatge de Palma feta pels viatgers del segle XIX

Abstract

[cat] En el present Treball de Fi de Grau explicam la relació que ha existit històricament entre l’atracció pel paisatge i el desenvolupament turístic. El marc cronològic de l’estudi és des de l’arribada dels primers viatgers romàntics, al darrer terç del segle XIX, fins als inicis de la indústria turística, a la dècada de 1920. A partir de la lectura atenta dels diaris de viatges, es determina el pes que va tenir el paisatge de l’illa de Mallorca per a la seva integració en els primers circuits turístics de la Mediterrània. Per exemplificar l’estudi ens centram en la ciutat de Palma, únic port d’entrada de viatgers a l’illa i principal centre d’allotjament fins a meitats del segle XX. Finalment, el treball es completa amb la comparació genèrica amb les tendències actuals.

[eng] In this Final Degree Project we explain the relationship that has historically existed between landscape attraction and tourism development. The chronological framework of the study is from the arrival of the first romantic travelers, in the last third of the 19th century, to the beginnings of the tourism industry, in the 1920s. the weight of the landscape of the island of Mallorca for its integration in the first tourist circuits of the Mediterranean is determined. To illustrate the study, we focus on the city of Palma, the only port of entry for travelers on the island and the main accommodation center until the middle of the 20th century. Finally, the work is completed with the generic comparison with current trends
