Turismo de borrachera: perspectiva post-covid

Abstract

[spa] El turismo es uno de los grandes motores de la economía española. De hecho, en el año 2019, España alcanzó el primer puesto a nivel mundial en cuanto a llegadas de turistas internacionales, situándose por encima de EEUU. No todos los tipos de turismo practicados en el país son positivos. El turismo de borrachera ha afectado durante años a las Illes Balears, sobretodo en Magaluf y en zonas turísticas de las características similares, que requieren un cambio inmediato. Por ello, el trabajo se centrará en la evolución de dicha zona, así como los diferentes proyectos, tanto públicos como privados, para la reconversión del destino turístico y la mejora de la calidad. Los residentes de la isla son unos de los principales afectados por el turismo de excesos. Por ello, se analizará su opinión respecto a este tipo de turismo y sobre las medidas aplicadas para su erradicación.

[eng] Tourism is one of the major drivers of the Spanish economy. In fact, in 2019, Spain reached first place in the world in terms of international tourist arrivals, ahead of the USA. Not all types of tourism practiced in the country are positive. Binge tourism has affected the Balearic Islands for years, especially in Magaluf and similar tourist areas, which require immediate change. Therefore, this assignment will focus on the evolution of this area, as well as the different projects, both public and private, for the reconversion of the tourist destination and the improvement of quality. The island's residents are among those most affected by binge tourism. For this reason, their opinion on this type of tourism and on the measures implemented to eradicate it will be analyzed.
