dc.description.abstract [eng] This Final Degree Project tries to explain how mergers and acquisitions work, what are their advantages and disadvantages, and what are the requirements needed to carry out these M&A. This project is going to focus on the tourism sector, that is why there will be some examples on how M&A affected these companies, how they acted to solve the problem and how they are currently. The competitive authorities in charge of M&A processes in Spain will also be shown, as well as the laws applied by the government to restrict M&A, the rates applied and some examples where these cases can be seen. ca
