El impacto de la COVID-19 en la intención de revisitar un destino de turismo académico

[spa] El presente estudio tiene por objeto el analizar si a raíz de la pandemia de la COVID-19 las motivaciones de los estudiantes para realizar estudios en el extranjero se han visto modificadas. Cada vez son más los estudiantes que se deciden a realizar parte de su currículum académico en el extranjero, especialmente en el ámbito universitario, tal ha sido el aumento de esta tendencia que ya se le denomina Turismo Académico. En Europa este fenómeno se ha visto muy impulsado por las instituciones a través del programa Erasmus. Para este estudio se ha realizado un cuestionario entre estudiantes Erasmus, de fuera de España, con el fin de conocer cuáles han sido las motivaciones fundamentales que les han llevado a tomar la decisión de escoger la Universidad de les Illes Baleares (UIB) para complementar su formación académica. Finalmente el estudio se complementa con el análisis del nivel de satisfacción de su experiencia, tanto desde un punto de vista académico como desde el punto de vista de su relación con el entorno y el territorio, y ver si esa experiencia les motiva a recomendar el destino e incluso si supone la intención de volver a visitar el destino con fines de ocio.

[eng] The purpose of this study is to analyze whether, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the motivations of students to study abroad have been modified. More and more students decide to undertake part of their academic curriculum abroad, especially in the university field, such has been the increase in this trend that it is already called Academic Tourism. In Europe, this phenomenon has been greatly promoted by institutions through the Erasmus program. For this study, a questionnaire has been carried out among Erasmus students, from outside Spain, in order to find out what have been the fundamental motivations that have led them to make the decision to choose the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) to complement their academic training. Finally, the study is complemented with the analysis of the level of satisfaction of their experience, both from an academic point of view and from a point of view of their relationship with the environment and the territory, and to see if that experience motivates them to recommend the destination and even if it implies the intention to revisit the destination for leisure purposes.
