Propuesta metodológica basada en el TEACCH para el profesorado de Educación Infantil

Abstract

[spa] El Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA) es uno de los trastornos del neurodesarrollo con mayor prevalencia en la población infantil y es muy común, en el ámbito educativo, encontrarse en una clase un determinado porcentaje de alumnos/as con este trastorno que le produce una gran afectación en lo personal, social y académico y no saber cómo actuar. El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado plantea una propuesta metodológica beneficiosa a poner en práctica en las aulas ordinarias de Educación Infantil conocida como Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communications Handicapped Children (TEACCH) para que los docentes puedan trabajar adecuadamente con los individuos que presentan TEA y cuyo objetivo es garantizar la integración y la inclusión de éstos/as en el aula y poder normalizar su vida en todos los niveles destacando la autoestima y la autonomía. Además, para ello, se aporta información sobre el significado del TEA y sus características incluido aquellos aspectos a tener en cuenta en los centros educativos para poder tener una mayor conciencia de lo importante que resulta intervenir y llevar a cabo una adecuada actuación ante dicho diagnóstico.

[eng] Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is one of the neurodevelopmental disorders with the highest prevalence in the child population and it’s very common, in the educational field, to find a certain percentage of students in a class with this disorder that produces a great personal, social and academic affectation and not knowing how to act. This Final Degree Project proposes a beneficial methodological proposal to be put into practice in ordinary Early Childhood Education classrooms known as Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communications Handicapped Children (TEACCH) so that teachers can work adequately with individuals who present TEA and whose objective is to guarantee the integration and inclusion of these in the classroom and to be able to normalize their life at all levels, emphasizing self-esteem and autonomy. In addition, for this, information is provided on the meaning of ASD and its characteristics, including those aspects to be taken into account in educational centers in order to have a greater awareness of how important it is to intervene and carry out an adequate action in the face of said diagnosis.
