Tourists' satisfaction with public services offered in Majorca: a survey-based study

Abstract

[eng] Public service s carry great importance within the tourism industry. Majorca is and has been a well known and mature tourism destination un til now ; for this reason, the public services offered sh ould be perfect However, as will be explained in this dissertation, this is not the whole case. T his paper aims at examining tourists’ satisfaction of pub lic services offered in Majorca, in order to see whether tourists are satisfied with them and their opinions. To conduct the study , 21 foreigners filled out a questionnaire . After the data analysis, the result s indicate that tourists are only satisfied with the public services offered in Majorca to some extent. More specifically, t ourists are less satisfied with public toilets and public transportation. At the end of the dissertation , this study offer s some proposals to improve tourists’ satisf action of public services in Majorca.
