Impactos de la pandemia de COVID-19 sobre los trabajadores del sector turístico en las illes Balears

Abstract

[spa] En este trabajo de Fin de Grado se analizan los impactos que ha tenido la pandemia por Covid-19 sobre los trabajadores del sector turístico en las Illes Balears. Para la realización de este estudio se han analizado datos extraídos de diversas fuentes de información oficiales como el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), el Instituto Balear de Estadística (IBESTAT) y el Servicio de Ocupación de las Islas Baleares (SOIB). Se ha llevado a cabo un análisis comparativo del año 2019 al 2021 del número de parados en Baleares, el número de personas afiliadas a la seguridad social, la incidencia de los ERTES y el teletrabajo y la variación del flujo turístico. La pandemia ha afectado de manera negativa a los trabajadores y a la sociedad, reduciendo el número de llegadas en Baleares a 3,2 millones de llegadas en 2020. No obstante, gracias a la incorporación de los expedientes de regulación temporal de empleo (ERTE) muchos trabajadores han podido mantener su trabajo y su estabilidad económica.

[eng] This Final Degree thesis analyzes the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on workers in the tourism sector in the Balearic Islands. For the realization of this study, data extracted from various official sources of information such as the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the Balearic Institute of Statistics (IBESTAT) and the Occupation Service of the Balearic Islands (SOIB) have been analyzed. A comparative analysis has been carried out from 2019 to 2021 of the number of unemployed people in the Balearic Islands, the number of people affiliated to the social security, the incidence of ERTES and work from home and the variation of the tourist flow. The pandemic has negatively affected workers and society, reducing the number of arrivals in the Balearic Islands to 3.2 million arrivals in 2020. However, thanks to the incorporation of the Temporary Employment Regulation Files (ERTE) many workers have been able to maintain their jobs and economic stability.
