dc.description.abstract [eng] The present study analyses the relation between musical beat perception and stress production in English words by Spanish L1 English students. A group of elementary English students (n=22) undertook a validated beat perception test and two elicitation tasks, a naming task and a reading task respectively, based on stress production of A1 English words that had previously been heard in class. The results of this test show that there is no significant correlation between a good performance on beat perception and a good stress production on English words. ca
