Jardí botànic de Sóller: història de la tasca educativa

[cat] El Jardí Botànic de Sóller és una institució pionera en educació ambiental, que neix a partir de l’Associació Museu Balear de Ciències Naturals, depositària de les col·leccions de Guillem Colom Casasnovas. S’inaugura de cara al públic el 1992, amb l’objectiu de convertir-se en un centre d’investigació, conservació i divulgació del patrimoni natural de les Illes Balears. Des del 1992 fins a l’actualitat, el Jardí Botànic de Sóller ha dut a terme una gran quantitat d’activitats, visites, tallers i projectes educatius per a tots els públics, adults, professionals i escolars. L’atractiu d’aquesta institució és l’oferta de col·leccions de plantes i altres espècies reunides per diferents hàbitats, als que normalment no seria fàcil accedir. A aquest ventall de col·leccions, s’hi suma l’oferta educativa, que s’ha anat desenvolupant i canviant al llarg dels anys. D’aquesta forma, des de la seva apertura, el Jardí Botànic ha rebut més de 106.000 alumnes (Fundació Jardí Botànic de Sóller - Museu Balear de Ciències Naturals, 2020).

[eng] The Jardí Botànic de Sóller is a pioneering institution in environmental education, born out of the Association Museu Balear de Ciència Naturals, depositary of the collections of Guillem Colom Casasnovas. It opened in 1992, with the aim of becoming a center for the research, conservation and dissemination of the natural heritage of the Balearic Islands. Since 1992, the Jardí Botànic de Sóller has carried out a large number of activities, visits, workshops and educational projects for all public, adults, professionals and students. The attractiveness of this institution is the offer of collections of plants and other species gathered by different habitats, which would not normally be easy to access. In this collection range, the educational offer is added, which has developed and changed over the years. Thus, since its opening, the Jardí Botànic has received over 106,000 students (Fundació Jardí Botànic de Sóller - Museu Balear de Ciències Naturals, 2020).
