Suïcidi Juvenil: Evolució històrica

Abstract

[cat] La comprensió del suïcidi ha estat difusa per la seva configuració multifactorial. Tres han estat els camps que han estudiat i abordat aquest tema: la medicina, la psicologia i l'educació. En aquesta darrera es centra l’atenció. Tractant el suïcidi des de l’àmbit i la perspectiva de l’educació, doncs es notoria la escassa o nul·la atenció que fins ara se li ha donat. Partim de la contradicció que suposa la important presència del fenomen del suïcidi en la nostra societat i la escassa presència en els mitjans de comunicació, així com la seva repercussió en la societat. Les persones es veuen en una situació incomoda a l’hora de mantenir una conversa sobre el suïcidi, ja que es considera un tema tabú. Com es un tema delicat, però també realista i d’actualitat i que afecta a tota la població, interessa conèixer com seria el paper dels educadors i educadores socials davant aquesta problemàtica i com podrien resoldre o prevenir aquests actes contra la existència i la integritat personal. Per tant, la presència del suïcidi podria llegir-se com un indicador social de la falta d’unió i recolzament entre els integrants d’una societat.

[eng] The understanding of suicide has been diffused by its multifactorial configuration. There have been three fields that have studied and addressed this issue: medicine, psychology and education. The latter focuses attention. Treating suicide from the point of view of education, then there is the lack or lack of attention paid to it so far. We are starting from the contradiction of the significant presence of the phenomenon of suicide in our society and the poor presence in the media and its impact on society. People are in an awkward situation when talking about suicide, as it is considered a taboo subject. As this is a sensitive, but also realistic and topical issue and one that affects the entire population, it is in the interests of knowing how the role of social educators and educators would be in the face of this problem and how they could resolve or prevent such acts against personal existence and integrity.Therefore, the presence of suicide could be read as a social indicator of the lack of unity and support among the members of a society.
