El catarisme. Orígens, desenvolupament i repressió

[cat] El catarisme fou un moviment d’essència cristiana que es desenvolupà arreu d’Europa Occidental entre mitjans del segle XII fins al XIV, amb especial incidència a Occitània i al nord d’Itàlia. Es caracteritzen per dur a terme una forma de vida austera, d’acord amb els preceptes religiosos basats en l’Evangeli i en la concepció dualista de la creació del món. A més, foren especialment crítics contra les pràctiques i actuacions de l’església catòlica. Així, davant, l’aclamació social que tingueren els dissidents la institució eclesiàstica justificà que duien a terme una doctrina diferent a l’ortodòxia catòlica, per la qual cosa, els va considerar heretges. Els càstigs imposats foren substancialment importants ja des dels inicis de la projecció herètica, però davant de la ineficàcia, es radicalitzaren les mesures. Fou amb croada i de l’instrument inquisitorial, a través del qual, reduïren a cendres al catarisme. Deixant-los desaparèixer al món però no en la memòria de les persones.

[eng] Catharism was a christian and religious movement which was developed everywhere in the Western Europe from the middle of the XII century to the XIV century, with special importance in Occitania and in north Italy. It is characterized by an austere lifestyle according to some precepts based on the Gospel and in a dualist conception about world creation. In addition, it was especially critical against practices of the Catholic Church. The movement success and dissemination, which was extended over loads of population, made to be considerated disrespectful by the roman Church, emphasizing all the aspects which distinguished catharism from catholic orthodoxy. Punishments imposed to the cathars were of an extraordinary importance, from the beggining of that difusion. Even so to the incapacity of the church to get rid of the cathar movement through their preaching, measures were radicalized. Catharism turn to ash due to inquisitorial practice. They desappeared from earth, but their remembrance had appeared in social memories thanks to historical investigations.
