¿Supone un beneficio la actividad de cruceros para las islas baleares? Análisis del impacto económico de los cruceros en Baleares

[spa] El trabajo que se va a explicar a continuación tiene el objetivo de estudiar el impacto de la actividad de cruceros en las Islas Baleares desde una perspectiva económica que analiza, no sólo la aportación al empleo y al VAB balear, sino también el efecto del sector sobre la competitividad turística del territorio, para tratar de resolver si efectivamente la industria de cruceros es una actividad clave para el desarrollo futuro y sostenible de las islas. Por último, se explican las externalidades negativas de la industria y se plantean medidas que pueden aplicar los gobiernos para paliar los efectos adversos del sector en las Baleares.

[eng] The aim of the following work is to study the impact of cruise ship activity in the Balearic Islands from an economic perspective that analyses not only the contribution to employment and Balearic GVA, but also the effect of the sector on the tourism destination competitiveness, in order to try to determinate whether the cruise industry is indeed a key activity fot the future and sustainable development of the island. Finally, it explains the industry’s negative externalities and suggest measures that government can implement to mitigate the adverse effect of the industry in the Balearic Islands.
