Análisis cuantitativo de la bolsa de plazas hoteleras en las islas Baleares

[spa] La masificación turística en las Islas Baleares es un hecho más que evidente; desde hace décadas el turismo supone el sustento principal del archipiélago dando empleo a la mayor parte de la población baleárica, a pesar de ello el nivel de ocupación alcanzado los últimos 10 años está perjudicando notablemente el conjunto de islas, llamativas por su belleza y naturaleza, y las está empujando hacia la catástrofe. Para acabar con esta masificación se han implementado planes de desestacionalización como la Bolsa de Plazas Hoteleras que pretende aportar más calidad al turismo ya existente y eliminar la futura expansión turística. Para conseguir todo ello el Govern Balear ha implantado ciertas medidas drásticas que supondrán un antes y un después para este sector enfrentando así a la población y a los empresarios hosteleros. Para diferenciar las ventajas y desventajas de esta “libertad” turística sin duda hemos de analizar las dos caras de la moneda.

[eng] Tourism overcrowding in the Balearic Islands is a fact more than evident; for decades tourism has been the mainstay of the archipelago, providing employment for most of the Balearic population, despite this, the level of occupation reached in the last 10 years is significantly damaging the group of islands, striking for their beauty and nature, and is pushing them towards catastrophe. In order to put an end to this overcrowding, seasonal adjustment plans have been implemented, such as the "Bolsa de Plazas Hoteleras", which aims to bring more quality to existing tourism and eliminate future tourist expansion. To achieve all this, the Balearic Government has implemented certain drastic measures that will mean a before and after for this sector, thus confronting the population and the hotel businessmen. To differentiate the advantages and disadvantages of this tourist "freedom" we must analyze the two sides of the coin.
