Edición y análisis de un texto de la biblioteca pública de Alaró escrito en castellano por catalanohablantes (Mallorca,1888)

[spa] En el presente estudio se lleva a cabo la edición y análisis lingüístico de un expediente judicial escrito por catalanohablantes en el siglo XIX. Los documentos en cuestión proceden del fondo documental de la Finca Son Curt conservado en la Biblioteca Joan Rosselló de Alaró, en Mallorca. Esta investigación consta de dos objetivos principales. Por un lado, se pretende documentar la situación del castellano de finales del siglo XIX en el contexto bilingüe de Mallorca y, por otro lado, se lleva a cabo un análisis de la lengua del texto. Para ello, en primer lugar, se ha llevado a cabo la edición de los documentos, que constan de un extracto judicial datado en 1888 relativo a un caso de homicidio y lesiones, así como de varias cartas privadas recogidas como parte del sumario. La edición se ha hecho mediante el sistema de triple presentación de los documentos empleado en la red CHARTA (https://www.redcharta.es/), con facsímil, transcripción paleográfica y presentación crítica. En lo que respecta a la lengua del texto, las cartas presentan algunos indicios de transferencia del catalán, como el seseo. Sin embargo, el expediente judicial refleja un castellano bastante convencional, lo cual da a entender que, en la Mallorca de finales del siglo XIX, las personas letradas ya tenían un alto dominio del castellano. El único fenómeno reseñable, que se estudia con detalle, es el de la presencia del antropónimo precedido de artículo (el Juan Payeras) para referirse a una persona que ha sido introducida previamente en el discurso.

[[eng] In the present study, the edition and linguistic analysis of a judicial file written by Catalan speakers in the 19th century is carried out. The documents in question come from the documentary collection of the Finca Son Curt kept in the Joan Rosselló de Alaró Library, in Mallorca. This research has two main objectives. On the one hand, it is intended to document the situation of Spanish at the end of the 19th century in the bilingual context of Mallorca and, on the other hand, an analysis of the language of the text is carried out. For this, first of all, the documents have been edited, which consist of a judicial extract dated in 1888 related to a case of homicide and injuries, as well as several private letters collected as part of the summary. The edition has been done through the triple presentation system of the documents used in the CHARTA network (https://www.redcharta.es/), with facsimile, paleographic transcription and critical presentation. As regards the language of the text, the letters show some signs of transfer from Catalan, such as lisp. However, the judicial file reflects a conventional Castilian, which suggests that, in Mallorca at the end of the 19th century, literate people already had a high command of Castilian. The only noteworthy phenomenon, which is studied in detail, is the presence of the anthroponym preceded by an article (the Juan Payeras) to refer to a person who has previously been introduced in the discourse.
