El tractament de les persones en situació d’exclusió social per part dels mitjans de comunicació en el tram final de la pandèmia

[cat] La pobresa, també anomenada exclusió social, és una xacra que continua present dins la societat i que en moments de crisi, com la pandèmia de la Covid-19, no ha fet més que augmentar. Les persones que la sofreixen poden presentar sentiments de vergonya i patiment. Aquests es poden veure agreujats per l’aporofòbia existent en els discursos dels mitjans de comunicació i en les intervencions dels treballadors socials. És per aquest motiu, que neix l’interès d’ampliar el coneixement al respecte. I es fa a través d’una revisió de la literatura científica i responent a la següent pregunta d’investigació: Quin ha estat el tractament que han donat els mitjans de comunicació a les situacions d’exclusió social entre el 5 de febrer i el 5 de juliol de 2023? Donant resposta a través de la metodologia qualitativa d’anàlisi del discurs, establint un Arbre de Categories. Els resultats que s’han obtingut permeten analitzar com s’ha definit el col·lectiu de persones en situació d’exclusió social, i el tractament que se li ha donat per part de dos diaris espanyols d’ideologia contraposada en el tram final de l’alerta sanitària.

[eng] Poverty, also known as social exclusion, is a scourge that is still present in our society and in times of crisis such as the Covid-19 pandemic, has only increased. People who suffer from it can be affected by feelings of shame and suffering. These may get worse with the prominent aporophobia which we can find in media discourses and in the interventions of social workers. For this reason, the interest to gain further knowledge about it grows. In this way, we are going to carry out a review of the scientific literature in order to answer the following research question: Which has been the treatment given by the media to the situations of social exclusion which happened between the 5th of February and 5th of July of 2023? To give an answer to this question, we have chosen the qualitative research methodology of discourse analysis, by setting a Tree of Categories. The results which have been obtained allow us to analyze how the socially excluded have been defined, and the treatment two spanish newspapers of opposite ideologies gave to this subject in the final journey of the sanitary alert.
