Evolució de l’ensenyament de la llengua catalana a les Illes Balears

[cat] L’u de juliol de 1975, encara dins la dictadura feixista de Franco, el BOE va publicar el Decreto 1433/1975 por el que se regula la incorporación de las lenguas nativas en los programas de los Centros de Educación Preescolar y General Básica. Abans d’això hi havia hagut, durant la segona república espanyola - més endavant ho comentarem - la possibilitat d’ensenyar en català a l’àmbit del Països Catalans però a l’àmbit de les Illes Balears no s’aplicaren. Per altra banda, el passat vint d’abril d’enguany, es va publicar la darrera disposició legal pel que fa a regulacions lingüístiques en l’ensenyament a les Illes Balears; la resolució del Conseller d’Educació i Universitats per al qual s’aprova el Pla Pilot Voluntari de Lliure Elecció de llengua per a centres educatius sostinguts amb fons públics d’educació primària i d’educació secundària obligatòria de les Illes Balears a partir del curs 2024/2025. Entre aquestes dues disposicions legals han passat gairebé quaranta-nou anys. La primera, signada per un dictador, obria la porta a la possibilitat d’introduir el català a les escoles. La segona, signada a l’any 2024, obre la porta a la segregació lingüística de l’alumnat.

[eng] On July 1, 1975, still under Franco's fascist dictatorship, the BOE published Decree 1433/1975 regulating the incorporation of native languages into the programs of Preschool and General Basic Education Centers. Before this there had been, during the second Spanish republic - we will comment on this later - the possibility of teaching in Catalan in the area of the Catalan Countries, but in the area of the Balearic Islands they did not apply. On the other hand, on the 20th of April this year, the latest legal provision regarding language regulations in education in the Balearic Islands was published; the resolution of the Minister of Education and Universities for which the Voluntary Pilot Plan of Free Choice of Language is approved for educational centers supported with public funds for primary education and compulsory secondary education in the Balearic Islands from the academic year 2024/2025. Almost forty-nine years have passed between these two legal provisions. The first, signed by a dictator, opened the door to the possibility of introducing Catalan in schools. The second, signed in 2024, opens the door to the linguistic segregation of students.
