La importancia de la alimentación materna durante el parto y postparto

[spa] La dieta mediterránea no solo debe verse como un conjunto de alimentos, sino también como un modelo cultural que influye en cómo se eligen, cultivan, preparan y distribuyen los alimentos. Debe ser visto como un modelo alimentario sano, de precio razonable y ambientalmente racional, así como un legado cultural anticuado que otorga identidad y pertenencia. La alimentación de la madre repercutirá en su propia salud y también en la del bebé, por lo tanto debe ser saludable en las diferentes etapas del embarazo y postparto. La salud de la madre y del feto depende de que la madre gane suficiente peso durante el embarazo, ya que esto se ha relacionado con un menor riesgo de complicaciones. Por otro lado, las deficiencias nutricionales tienen efectos adversos en el embarazo, el parto y el puerperio, incluyendo partos prolongados, lento crecimiento intrauterino atonía de las contracciones uterinas, sangrado durante el parto y aumento de las infecciones, lo que conduce a un aumento de la sepsis puerperal. El objetivo del presente estudio es conocer los efectos de la dieta mediterránea sobre la evolución del embarazo, el parto y postparto en mujeres con diferentes niveles socioeconómicos. Dicho estudio se trata de un estudio observacional-descriptivo de corte transversal, a quienes se les aplicó una encuesta-entrevista para identificar el nivel de conocimiento sobre la alimentación, la composición de la ingesta nutricional así como el estrato socioeconómico.

[eng] The Mediterranean diet should not only be seen as a set of foods, but also as a cultural model that influences how food is chosen, grown, prepared, and distributed. It should be seen as a healthy, reasonably priced and environmentally sound food model, as well as an outdated cultural heritage that grants identity and belonging. The mother's diet will affect her own health and also that of the baby; therefore it must be healthy in the different stages of pregnancy and postpartum. The health of the mother and the fetus depends on the mother gaining enough weight during pregnancy, as this has been linked to a lower risk of complications. On the other hand, nutritional deficiencies have adverse effects in pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium, including prolonged labor, atony of uterine contractions, slow intrauterine growth, bleeding during childbirth, and decreased resistance to infection, which leading to an increase in puerperal sepsis. The objective of this study is to know the effects of the Mediterranean diet on the evolution of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum in women with different socioeconomic levels. Said study is a cross-sectional descriptive observational study, to whom a survey-interview was applied to identify the level of knowledge about food, the composition of nutritional intake as well as the socioeconomic stratum.
