Abstract

[cat] La irrupció i el desenvolupament del moviment hippie a Eivissa i Formentera (1966-1973) va experimentar tres grans moments convulsos, que varen convertir aquest fenomen de masses juvenil, reivindicatiu i reprimit pel franquisme en el principal atractiu icònic de la marca turística “Ibiza”. Va tractar-se d’una transformació socioeconòmica radical que va consolidar les Pitiüses internacionalment com a una de les principals destinacions de l’oci, el turisme i la moda. És per això que cal explicar objectivament des d’una perspectiva històrica i interdisciplinària els canvis conceptuals i històrics sobre els hippies fins a l’actualitat a les illes a través dels informes institucionals i els expedients de persones expulsades que es conserven principalment a l’Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca.

[eng] The irruption and development of the hippie movement in Ibiza and Formentera (1966-1973) experienced three great convulsive moments, which turned this phenomenon of youthful masses, vindictive and repressed by the Franco regime, into the main iconic attraction of the tourist brand "Ibiza". It was a radical socio-economic transformation that consolidated the Pityusic Islands internationally as one of the main destinations for leisure, tourism and fashion. That is why it is necessary to explain objectively, from a historical and interdisciplinary perspective, the conceptual and historical changes about the hippies up to the present day in the islands, through the institutional reports and the files of expelled people that are mainly preserved in the Archive of the Kingdom of Mallorca.
