Serves i santes: la iconografia de les monges i de santa Clara a la Baixa Edat Mitjana en àmbit hispànic (segles XIII-XVI)

Abstract

[cat] El següent treball aborda la qüestió iconogràfica de la figura de les monges dins les manifestacions artístiques de les arts plàstiques de la Baixa Edat Mitjana, entre els segles XIII i XVI, específicament dins àmbit hispànic. Dins aquest estudi s’aborda la representació iconogràfica de les monges com a col·lectiu, així com la figura de les abadesses i de les monges santes, aquest darrer exemplificat amb el cas concret de santa Clara. El treball realitza un recorregut per les distintes arts dins el món hispànic, passant des de la miniatura, a la pintura damunt taula i a l’escultura, especialment funerària.

[eng] The following work broaches the question of Nuns as iconographic figures as depicted within artworks from the early Middle Ages, between the 13th -16th centuries, specifically in the field of Spanish Art. Within this study, nuns as a collective, are represented iconographically, as well as the figures of Abbesses and nuns as Saints, exemplified in the case of saint Clare. The work covers the different Arts of the Hispanic world, passing from miniatures, to painting on wooden panels to funeral-like sculptures.
