Night Songs: un estudi d’estil

Abstract

[cat] L’objectiu d’aquest treball és realitzar un estudi de l’estil del guitarrista de jazz Jonathan Kreisberg. Per donar suport a aquest estudi, s’ha realitzat una recerca a damunt el procés de transcripció al jazz, què significa i com recomanen els experts que es realitzi. També s’ha investigat l’evolució de la notació musical. S’ha realitzat una transcripció íntegra de quatre dels seus temes i s’han analitzat. A partir d’aquest estudi, s’ha cercat arribar a conclusions sobre el que suposa la improvisació musical i com la du a terme un artista consolidat. A partir de l’anàlisi i l’estudi dels temes de Night Songs, he composat quatre temes propis cercant desenvolupar els concepte que més m’han atret de la proposta de Kreisberg.

[eng] The aim of this work is to conduct a study on the style of jazz guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg. To support this study, research has been carried out on the process of jazz transcription, what it means, and how experts recommend it be done. The evolution of musical notation has also been investigated. A complete transcription of four of his pieces has been made and analyzed. From this study, conclusions have been sought about what musical improvisation entails and how a seasoned artist performs it. Based on the analysis and study of the pieces from Night Songs, I have composed four original pieces aiming to develop the concepts that most attracted me from Kreisberg's approach.
