Influencia de los procesos básicos en la exactitud y fiabilidad del testimonio en el ámbito judicial

Abstract

[spa] Este trabajo de revisión científica analiza la fiabilidad y exactitud del testimonio evaluando los procesos cognitivos de los testigos. Se centra en memoria, percepción y atención. Además, se analizan las variables que influyen en los procesos cognitivos y que afectan a la capacidad del testigo para declarar. En los resultados obtenidos resalta la escasez de datos empíricos por la falta de artículos actualizados y se subraya la necesidad de seguir investigando debido a la importancia de la evaluación de la credibilidad del testimonio, por su influencia en las decisiones judiciales.

[eng] This scientific review paper analyzes the reliability and accuracy of testimony by assessing the cognitive processes of witnesses. It focuses on memory, perception and attention. In addition, the variables that influence cognitive processes and affect the witness's ability to testify are analyzed. The results obtained highlight the scarcity of empirical data due to the lack of updated articles and underline the need for further research is emphasized due to the importance of the evaluation of the credibility of the testimony, because of its influence on judicial decisions.
