La coeducació al pati. CEIP Rafal Vell

Abstract

[cat] La coeducació és un terme que s'està introduint a les escoles amb la finalitat de contribuir al desenvolupament integral dels estudiants, fomentant valors com el respecte, la tolerància i la solidaritat i donar visibilitat a referents dels dos gèneres de manera equitativa. Així doncs, els patis escolars són espais en què els infants passen gran part del seu temps i és allà on desenvolupen habilitats socials. Però, en algun d'ells, avui dia encara s'aprecien situacions o comportaments marcats per estereotips i prejudicis basats en el gènere. Cert és, que algunes escoles han optat per crear patis coeducatius per a així fomentar la igualtat de gènere, millorar la convivència, promoure la inclusió i el respecte mutu entre els tots estudiants, fomentant una educació més completa i respectuosa amb la diversitat. Aquests es caracteritzen per utilitzar una distribució equitativa de l'espai, la implementació d'activitats diverses i accessibles per a tots els infants. CEIP Rafal Vell és un centre públic de Palma que ha implementat una sèrie de canvis en el funcionament del seu pati escolar amb la intenció de promoure la coeducació. Aquest present document se centra a analitzar aquestes propostes i observar el dia a dia amb la finalitat de descobrir si realment compleixen els seus objectius i trenquen amb les barreres socials relacionades amb el gènere.

[eng] Coeducation is a term being introduced in schools with the aim of contributing to the integral development of students, fostering values such as respect, tolerance, and solidarity, and giving visibility to role models of both genders in an equitable manner. Thus, school playgrounds are spaces where children spend a significant amount of their time and where they develop social skills. However, in some of these spaces, situations or behaviors marked by gender stereotypes and prejudices are still observed today. Indeed, some schools have opted to create coeducational playgrounds to foster gender equality, improve coexistence, promote inclusion, and encourage mutual respect among all students, thereby promoting a more comprehensive and respectful education towards diversity. These playgrounds are characterized by the equitable distribution of space and the implementation of diverse and accessible activities for all children. CEIP Rafal Vell is a public school in Palma that has implemented a series of changes in the functioning of its playground with the intention of promoting coeducation. This document focuses on analyzing these proposals and observing daily activities to determine whether they truly meet their objectives and break down social barriers related to gender.
