Social and cultural integration program for exchange students

Abstract

[eng] In a context of increasing globalisation and internationalisation, the number of university students who choose to study abroad for a semester or a year has increased significantly. Therefore, this work focuses on the study and design of a comprehensive program of social and cultural integration, with the aim of ensuring an enriching experience both academically and personally for exchange students. To achieve this goal, a survey was carried out among students who have participated in academic exchanges, in order to collect information and opinions that will help us to design the integration program in the best possible way. The results of the survey are analysed in detail throughout the study, and on that basis the integration program that is finally proposed is developed and explained. This program, based on the research results, is conceived as a valuable tool for any university interested in promoting the successful integration of its exchange students, thus ensuring a rewarding and enriching experience during their stay abroad.
