dc.description.abstract [eng] This thesis uses the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to assess the Willingness to Pay (WTP) of tourists coming to Mallorca to prevent an increase in temperature (direct climate change impact). The conducted study included two groups of tourists, beach tourists and cultural tourists to determine whether their willingness to pay is different based on their primary reason for visiting the island. Data was collected through structured questionnaires, and the results show a mean willingness to pay of €3,33 per person per day to mitigate the effects of climate change. Surprisingly, no statistically significant difference in willingness to pay was found between beach tourists and cultural tourists, indicating that both groups experience the negative impacts on well-being similarly. The study's results can be useful for policymakers, as they show the potential of involving tourists in funding climate change policies and give insights into tourist preferences regarding temperature levels. en
