[eng] Disability in literature is still in the process of being studied. Most works deal with the representation of disability from a thematic approach but there is little research that analyses how disability affects and modifies the way authors write. Our study aims to apply theoretical reflection to two case studies of Catalan literature: El teu nom és Olga, by Josep M. Espinàs (1986), and Quiet, by Màrius Serra (2008). This essay focuses on the narratological aspects and develops a discursive analysis with the aim of identifying how the fact of writing about characters with disabilities determines the choice of a specific narrative form and raises issues of authority in constructing discourse about the other. It also aims to apply a transversal affective approach that analyses how disability is a constant generator of affects.
