[cat] La prematuritat és un problema significatiu que afecta un nombre creixent de nounats a tot el món. Els nadons nascuts abans de les trenta-set setmanes de gestació, poden presentar una sèrie de reptes mèdics i neurològics a curt o llarg termini. Aquest treball de fi de grau pretén examinar la relació entre la prematuritat i les funcions executives del cervell, per mitjà d'una revisió de la literatura científica actualitzada. Aquest treball pretén proporcionar una visió general de la relació entre la prematuritat i les funcions executives del cervell. També destacar la importància d'una detecció primerenca per abordar les necessitats específiques que puguin tenir els nadons prematurs i promoure'n el desenvolupament òptim. A més, s'identifiquen àrees de recerca futura per poder ajudar a millorar la comprensió sobre la temàtica per futurament poder desenvolupar estratègies més efectives d'intervenció.

[eng] Prematurity is a serious issue that is affecting more and more neonates worldwide. Babies born before 37 weeks of gestation may face a variety of short- and long-term medical and neurological difficulties. Through a review of recent scientific research, this study seeks to investigate how preterm and the brain's executive functions are related. The purpose of this work is to present an overview of the connection between brain development before birth and executive function. Also stress the significance of early identification to meet any unique requirements that premature babies might have and to encourage their best possible growth. In order to advance knowledge of the topic and create future intervention tactics that are more successful, future study opportunities are also identified.
