[eng] Tourism today moves in a scenario that is far from the traditional set from the boom of the last century. The public space has been transformed. And in addition, the regulation of vacation rental, cruise tourism or tourist’s responsible behavior faces two competing interests: private property and freedom of enterprise, on the one hand, and the social rights of citizens and the general interest, on the other. This places the Administration in the face of new challenges that it must face, the realization of which requires the introduction of renewed formulas for intervention and the relationship of the public power with the private world. To the identification of the new demands that the city and tourism poses, and to the definition of the appropriate solutions to respond to those demands, the objective of this work is precisely oriented.
